Women's Fellowship is a teaching series in which the women learn from God's Word and enjoy biblical fellowship with one another. This summer, we will be going through lessons centered around the theme, “Enduring Patience.”
These lessons are meant to help women understand what patience is, what it looks like in God’s character, and how we can be marked by patience in our daily lives. Oftentimes, rather than waiting on God, we can be emotional, restless, impatient, or frustrated. Rather than reacting emotionally, we can have an enduring patience that perseveres in every circumstance. Join us once a month on Sundays at 11 AM after worship service to learn together from God's Word about enduring patience!

Lesson Recap
To round out our Women’s Fellowship summer series on patience, Josephine taught us how to have patience toward other people in a lesson titled “Longsuffering Love.”
She used the text of Ephesians 4:1-3 to teach three main points on patience and how we can demonstrate longsuffering love toward others. Firstly, longsuffering love is expected of us as Christians. God has called each of us for a purpose and with expectations of godly conduct; one of those expectations is to show longsuffering love to the people in our lives. This is possible because we have the Spirit of God within us, growing us in godliness and empowering us to have a supernatural patience in our relationships! Secondly, we were taught that longsuffering love begins with the heart. This means that when we are filled with pride or focused on ourselves, we cannot be patient toward others. True patience is not the outward zen of stuffing our frustration down but rather a display of genuine love that springs from an inner heart of humility and gentleness. Lastly, we learned that longsuffering love preserves the unity of the church. Josephine highlighted that the same Spirit working in you to sanctify is the same One working in the other members of the body! We ought to be praying for the Spirit to be working in all our lives, trusting that He will sanctify all of us and grow our hearts of godly love toward each other. Josephine ended by acknowledging that there are many chances to be impatient with others, but that means there are just as many opportunities to show patience!
Praise God for His great patience toward us and for His Spirit who works in us, so that we may reflect to others the same extravagant patience He shows us!
