Check-In and Check-Out Information
There are two options for drop off/pick up. You may:
A) Park in the nearby parking lot for extended time
B) Park briefly along Pan American Road W and check in/check out in front of Balboa Park Club
Please note that over 30 families will be checking in or out during a 15 minute window, so space along the sidewalk may be limited. Security and road signs will be present to help direct traffic.
No, we suggest turning off and locking your car anytime it is left unattended.
Guardians and pre-authorized adults can visit the check-out table to sign the children out. Volunteers will escort the children out, as non-volunteer adults are not permited inside during Science Camp.
Camp Information
We highly recommend that your child bring a water bottle labeled with their name so they stay hydrated throughout the camp! If you did not select the "Boxed Lunch" option in your registration, please come with a hearty packed lunch. All camp supplies and project materials will be provided.
Each day will feature a lesson, project, and lab experiment focused on a specific aspect of biology. Children will learn how to ask and answer scientific questions.
Unfortunately, there is no refrigerator available in the room. Please bring food that can be stored at room temperature.
No, breakfast will not be provided. Please eat breakfast before arriving at the camp. We will have a snack break around 10 AM before lunch at noon.
Yes, the camp will be nut-free.
Saturday Celebration
Doors open on Saturday for the family celebration at 11:30 AM. Please plan to come 10-15 minutes earlier as parking may be difficult to secure. The celebration will feature a lunch, presentations by the children, a recap video, raffle prizes, and more! Additionally, there will be an exciting family activity happening from 1-3 PM that you won't want to miss!
